By its resolution 47/188 of 22 December 1992, the General Assembly established an intergovernmental negotiating committee for the elaboration of an international convention to combat desertification in those countries experiencing serious drought and/or desertification, particularly in Africa, with a view to finalizing such a convention by June 1994.
١ - أنشأت الجمعية العامة، بموجب قرارها ٤٧/١٨٨ المؤرخ ٢٢ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٢، لجنة تفاوض حكومية دولية لوضع اتفاقية دولية لمكافحة التصحر في البلدان التي تعاني من الجفاف الشديد و/أو من التصحر، وخاصة في افريقيا، بغية وضع هذه الاتفاقية في صيغتها النهائية بحلول حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٤.

1. By its resolution 47/188 of 22 December 1992, the General Assembly established an intergovernmental negotiating committee for the elaboration of an International Convention to Combat Desertification in Those Countries Experiencing Serious Drought and/or Desertification, particularly in Africa.

Following on the work of UNCED, the General Assembly, in resolution 47/188 of 22 December 1992, established an intergovernmental negotiating committee for the elaboration of an international convention to combat desertification in those countries experiencing serious drought and/or desertification, particularly in Africa, with a view to finalizing such a convention by June 1994.
٤٤ - ومتابعة ﻷعمال مؤتمر اﻷمم المتحدة المعني بالبيئة والتنمية، أنشأت الجمعية العامة، بمقتضى قرارها ٤٧/١٨٨ المؤرخ ٢٢ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٢، لجنة تفاوض حكومية دولية لوضع اتفاقية دولية لمكافحة التصحر في البلدان التي تعاني بشدة من الجفاف و/أو التصحر الشديد، لا سيما في افريقيا، بهدف استكمال تلك الاتفاقية بحلول شهر حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٤.
