Recalling its resolution 1995/40 of 27 July 1995, in which it recommended that the General Assembly and the Commission give priority consideration to the proposal to convene an international conference for the purpose of evaluating the international situation and the status of international cooperation against the illicit production, sale, demand, traffic and distribution of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and related activities,
وإذ يشير أيضا إلى قراره ١٩٩٥/٤٠ المؤرخ ٢٧ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٥ والذي أوصى فيه بأن تنظر الجمعية العامة ولجنة المخدرات على سبيل اﻷولوية في اقتراح عقد مؤتمر دولي بغرض تقييم الوضع الدولي وحالة التعاون الدولي في مجال مكافحة إنتاج المخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية وبيعها وطلبها والاتجار فيها وتوزيعها بصفة غير مشروعة وما يتصل بذلك من أنشطة،

2. Recommends that the General Assembly and the Commission on Narcotic Drugs give priority consideration to the proposal to convene an international conference for the purpose of evaluating the international situation and the status of international cooperation against the illicit production, sale, demand, traffic and distribution of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and related activities.
٢ - يوصي بأن تقوم الجمعية العامة ولجنة المخدرات بإيلاء النظر على سبيل اﻷولوية للاقتراح الداعي إلى عقد مؤتمر دولي لغرض تقييم الحالة الدولية ووضع التعاون الدولي في مكافحة انتاج المخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية وبيعها وطلبها والاتجار بها وتوزيعها بشكل غير مشروع وما يتصل بذلك من أنشطة.
