١-٧ وستقوم إدارة الشؤون السياسية بجمع المعلومات عن الخلافات والمنازعات المحتملة والفعلية، وتحليل هذه المعلومات لتحديد الحالات التي يمكن أن تضطلع فيها اﻷمم المتحدة بدور مفيد، وإسداء المشورة لﻷمين العام بشأن شكل ما قد يتخذ من إجراءات.
