2. Affirms the urgent need for all States in the Middle East to forthwith accept the application of full-scope Agency safeguards to all their nuclear activities as an important confidence-building measure among all States in the region and as a step in enhancing peace and security in the context of the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone (NWFZ);

In this connection, the Conference calls upon Israel to renounce its nuclear-weapons option, to accede to the Treaty, and to accept full-scope IAEA safeguards on all its nuclear activities as an important confidence-building measure and as a step towards the universality of the Treaty, thus enhancing both regional and international peace and security.]
وفي هذا الصدد يدعو المؤتمر اسرائيل إلى نبذ خيارها المتعلق باﻷسلحة النووية والانضمام الى المعاهدة وقبول تطبيق الضمانات الكاملة للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية على جميع أنشطتها النووية بوصفها تدبيرا هاما من تدابير بناء الثقة وخطوة نحو عالمية المعاهدة وبالتالي تعزيز السلم واﻷمن اﻹقليميين والدوليين.[
