The Council invites States parties to the human rights treaties to give due consideration to equitable geographical representation and gender balance when nominating and electing members of the human rights treaty bodies.
ويدعو الدول اﻷطراف في معاهدات حقوق اﻹنسان إلى إيلاء الاعتبار اللازم للتمثيل الجغرافي المنصف والتوازن بين الجنسين لدى ترشيح وانتخاب أعضاء الهيئات المنشأة بموجب معاهدات حقوق اﻹنسان.

17. The chairs recommended that States parties, when nominating and electing members of the treaty bodies, should take into account the provisions set out in the legally binding human rights instruments to this effect.
17 - وأوصى الرؤساء بأن تأخذ الدول الأطراف في الحسبان، عند ترشيح وانتخاب أعضاء الهيئات المنشأة بموجب معاهدات، الأحكام الواردة في الصكوك المتعلقة بحقوق الإنسان والملزمة قانونا لهذا الغرض.

6. In its resolution 2005/53 of 20 April 2005, the Commission on Human Rights requested States when nominating and electing members and alternates to the Sub-Commission:
6- وفي قرار لجنة حقوق الإنسان 2005/53 المؤرخ 20 نيسان/أبريل 2005، طلبت اللجنة إلى الدول لدى ترشيح وانتخاب أعضاء اللجنة الفرعية ومناوبيهم ما يلي:

(a) When nominating and electing members and alternates to the Sub-Commission, to be conscious of the strong concern to ensure that the body is independent and is seen to be so;
(أ) لدى ترشيح وانتخاب أعضاء اللجنة الفرعية ومناوبيهم، أن تعي الاهتمام الشديد بضمان استقلال هذه الهيئة والمحافظة على صورتها المستقلة؛

(b) When nominating and electing members and alternates to the Sub-Commission, to keep in mind the need for a balanced accommodation of the benefits of continuity and the importance of renewal;
(ب) لدى ترشيح وانتخاب أعضاء اللجنة الفرعية ومناوبيهم، أن تراعي ضرورة التوفيق المتوازن بين فوائد الاستمرارية وأهمية التجديد؛

19. The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights recommends that States parties apply the provisions relating to nomination and election of treaty body members in the human rights treaties, as well as Economic and Social Council resolution 1985/17, when nominating and electing members.
19 - وتوصي مفوضة الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان الدول الأطراف بأن تطبق الدول الأطراف الأحكام المتعلقة بترشيح وانتخاب أعضاء الهيئات المنشأة بموجب المعاهدات الواردة في المعاهدات المتعلقة بحقوق الإنسان، فضلا عن قرار المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي 1985/17 عند ترشيح الأعضاء وانتخابهم.
