It may be relevant to recall that, in its resolution 38/14 of 22 November 1983, in which it proclaimed the Second Decade to Combat Racism and Racial Discrimination, the General Assembly charged the Economic and Social Council with coordinating the implementation of the Programme of Action for the Second Decade and evaluating the activities.
٢٠ - لعل من المناسب اﻹشارة إلى أن الجمعية العامة قد عهدت إلى المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، في قرارها ٣٨/١٤ المؤرخ ٢٢ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٨٣، الذي أعلنت فيه العقد الثاني لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري، بتنسيق تنفيذ برنامج العمل للعقد الثاني وتقييم اﻷنشطة.

وتتولى وحدة الرصد والتقييم مسؤولية تنفيذ برنامج العمل وتقييم أنشطة البرنامج.
