The General Assembly, in its resolution 56/39 of 7 December 2001, requested the Secretary-General to continue to enhance contacts with the Economic Community of Central African States, with a view to encouraging and harmonizing cooperation between the United Nations and the Community.
طلبت الجمعية العامة إلى الأمين العام، في قرارها 56/39 المؤرخ 7 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2001، أن يواصل تكثيف اتصالاته مع الجماعة الاقتصادية لدول وسط أفريقيا من أجل تعزيز وتنسيق التعاون بين الأمم المتحدة والجماعة.

Finally, the draft resolution requests the Secretary-General to continue to broaden contacts with the Community, with a view to encouraging and harmonizing cooperation with institutions, and to report on the implementation of the present resolution -- which we hope will be adopted by consensus -- to the General Assembly at its fifty-seventh session.
