15. The promotion of indigenous media has played a key role in preserving ancestral languages and reaffirming the culture and identity of indigenous peoples.
١٥ - وقد أدَّى تعزيز أجهزة الإعلام الناطقة بلسان الشعوب الأصلية دوراً رئيسيًّا في الحفاظ على لغات الأسلاف وإعادة ترسيخ ثقافة الشعوب الأصلية وهويتها.

(b) Adopts the study on the role of languages and culture in the promotion and protection of the rights and identity of indigenous peoples (A/HRC/EMRIP/2012/3 and Corr.1);

It is worth noting that this policy builds on the cultural heritage and identity of indigenous peoples as assets and pays full tribute to the principles of free, prior and informed consent.
