10. In its resolution 49/164 of 23 December 1994, on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, the General Assembly recommended that the States parties to the Convention review the working situation of the Committee and its capacity to fulfil its mandate more effectively.
١٠ - أوصت الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٤٩/١٦٤ المؤرخ ٢٣ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٤، المتعلق باتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة، بأن تستعرض الدول اﻷطراف في الاتفاقية حالة عمل اللجنة وقدرتها على الوفاء بولايتها على نحو أكثر فعالية.

The reports mentioned in the resolution included the report of the Secretary-General on the working methods of the Committee and its capacity to fulfil its mandate 1/ as well as the reports of the Committee on its twelfth 2/ and thirteenth 3/ sessions.
