In a synergistic approach, the Secretariat, together with the secretariats of the Basel and Stockholm conventions and member organizations of the Inter-Organization Programme for the Sound Management of Chemicals, will devise programmes and develop and distribute training materials for developing countries and countries with economies in transition to increase their capacity to manage chemicals sustainably.

During its fourth session, the Forum also held an interactive multi-stakeholder dialogue among the major groups, government delegations and member organizations of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests on (a) social and cultural aspects of forests; (b) traditional forest-related knowledge; (c) capacity-building; and (d) partnerships.
