Taking note of the reports of the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories submitted to the General Assembly since 1968,
وإذ تحيط علماً بتقارير اللجنة الخاصة المعنية بالتحقيق في الممارسات الإسرائيلية التي تمس حقوق الإنسان للشعب الفلسطيني وغيره من السكان العرب في الأراضي المحتلة، المقدمة إلى الجمعية العامة منذ عام 1968،

She took the opportunity of reiterating her delegation's continued support for the Palestinian people and Other Arabs in the occupied territories and requested that Guyana should be included in the list of countries voting in favour of the resolution.

I have the honour to be Chairman of the Special Committee on Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories.
ويشرفني أن أكون رئيسا للجنة الخاصة المعنية بالتحقيق في الممارسات الإسرائيلية التي تمس حقوق الإنسان للشعب الفلسطيني والعرب الآخرين في الأراضي المحتلة.

In that regard, the Special Committee welcomes the ceasefire agreed in Gaza and sincerely hopes that that initiative will engender further action to establish sustainable peace in all the occupied territories and to protect the human rights of Palestinians and Other Arabs in those territories.
وفي ذلك الصدد، ترحب اللجنة الخاصة باتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في غزة، وتأمل بإخلاص أن تنشأ عن تلك المبادرة إجراءات إضافية لإرساء سلام مستدام في جميع الأراضي المحتلة ولحماية حقوق الإنسان للفلسطينيين والعرب الآخرين في تلك الأراضي.

52. In conclusion, he urged the international community, and particularly the Security Council and the Member States, to ensure that the Special Committee's recommendations were effectively implemented with a view to promoting and protecting the rights of the Palestinian people and Other Arabs of the occupied territories.
52 - وفي الختام، حث المجتمع الدولي، ولا سيما مجلس الأمن والدول الأعضاء، على ضمان تنفيذ توصيات اللجنة الخاصة بشكل فعال وذلك بغية تعزيز وحماية حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني والعرب الآخرين في الأراضي المحتلة.

Such practices have had the purpose of expelling Palestinians and Other Arabs from the land that belonged to their ancestors, and to make them into refugees and displaced persons.
وهي ممارسات تهدف إلى طرد الفلسطينيين وغيرهم من العرب من الأرض التي ورثوها عن أسلافهم، وتحويلهم إلى لاجئين ومشردين.

Practically every aspect of the daily life of Palestinians and Other Arabs in the OPT has been severely affected.
وقد لحق ضرر بالغ بكل جانب تقريبا من جوانب الحياة اليومية للفلسطينيين وغيرهم من العرب في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة.

Until a final solution to the problem was attained and the most basic rights of the Palestinian and Other Arabs in the occupied territories were fully respected, the Special Committee must continue its important work in fulfilment of its mandate.
وإلى أن يتم التوصل إلى حل نهائي للمشكلة، ويتم الاحترام الكامل لمعظم الحقوق اﻷساسية للفلسطينيين وغيرهم من العرب في اﻷراضي المحتلة يتعين أن تواصل اللجنة الخاصة عملها الهام ﻹنجاز ولايتها.

The dehumanization of Palestinians and Other Arabs in the occupied territories prevented the achievement of a just and lasting peace.
ويحول تجريد الفلسطينيين وغيرهم من السكان العرب في الأراضي المحتلة من الطبيعة الإنسانية دون تحقيق السلام العادل والدائم.

(b) The Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories, whose mandate was given to it by the United Nations General Assembly, has never been authorized to enter the territories and again this year was not able to enter Gaza or Jericho.
