In studying the report of the Secretary-General, we took particular note of part IV, entitled “Priority theme for 1998: promoting social integration and participation of all people, including disadvantaged and vulnerable groups and persons: thirty-sixth session of the Commission for Social Development”.
بعد اطلاعنا ودراستنا لتقرير اﻷمين العام، المشار إليه في صدر هذا البيان عن تنفيذ نتائــج مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية الاجتماعية، استرعى اهتمامنا ما ورد في رابعا تحت عنوان " الموضــــوع ذو اﻷولوية لعام ١٩٩٨: تعزيز التكافل الاجتماعي وكفالة مشاركة الجميع " .

The Chairman of the Commission on Social Development addressed the Executive Board on the outcome of the Commission's thirty-sixth session, held from 10-20 February 1998, in particular on the agreed conclusions contained in decision 36/2: " Promoting Social Integration and participation of all people, Including Disadvantaged and Vulnerable Groups and Persons " .
٣٢٧ - تحدث رئيس لجنة التنمية الاجتماعية أمام المجلس التنفيذي عن نتائج الدورة السادسة والثلاثين للجنة، المعقودة في الفترة من ١٠ إلى ٢٠ شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٨، وبوجه خاص عن الاستنتاجات المتفق عليها الواردة في المقرر ٣٦/٢: " تعزيز التكامل الاجتماعي وكفالة مشاركة الجميع بمن فيهم المحروم والضعيف من الفئات واﻷشخاص " .

The Social Summit stated in commitment 4 of the Copenhagen Declaration: " We commit ourselves to promoting social integration by fostering societies that are stable, safe and just and that are based on the promotion and protection of all human rights, as well as on nondiscrimination, tolerance, respect for diversity, equality of opportunity, solidarity, security, and participation of all people. "
لقد ورد في الالتزام 4 لإعلان كوبنهاغن الذي اعتُمد في مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية الاجتماعية (A/CONF.166/9، الفصل الأول)، ما يلي: " نلتزم بالعمل على تحقيق الاندماج الاجتماعي، وذلك بتشجيع إقامة مجتمعات تتسم بالاستقرار والأمان والعدالة وتقوم على تعزيز جميع حقوق الإنسان وحمايتها، وعلى عدم التمييز والتسامح واحترام التنوع وتكافؤ الفرص والتضامن والأمن " ومشاركة الجميع.

We commit ourselves to promoting social integration by fostering societies that are stable, safe and just and that are based on the promotion and protection of all human rights, as well as on non-discrimination, tolerance, respect for diversity, equality of opportunity, solidarity, security, and participation of all people, including disadvantaged and vulnerable groups and persons.
نلتزم بالعمل على تحقيق الاندماج الاجتماعي، وذلك بتشجيع إقامة مجتمعات تتسم بالاستقرار واﻷمان والعدالة وتقوم على تعزيز جميع حقوق اﻹنسان وحمايتها، وعلى عدم التمييز، والتسامح، واحترام التنوع، وتكافؤ الفرص، والتضامن، واﻷمن، ومشاركة كل المحرومين والمستضعفين، جماعات وأفرادا.

It is to carry out an overall review of the theme of promoting social integration and participation of all people in 1998.
ومن المقرر أن تضطلع اللجنة في عام ١٩٩٨ باستعراض عام لموضوع تعزيز اﻹدماج الاجتماعي والمشاركة لجميع الناس.

3. Following the World Summit, the Commission for Social Development discussed social integration at its thirty-sixth session in February 1998 and formulated agreed conclusions on promoting social integration and participation of all people, including disadvantaged and vulnerable groups and persons.
3 - وناقشت لجنة التنمية الاجتماعية، عقب مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية الاجتماعية، موضوع الإدماج الاجتماعي في دورتها السادسة والثلاثين المعقودة في شباط/فبراير 1998، وصاغت استنتاجات متفق عليها بشأن تعزيز الإدماج الاجتماعي ومشاركة كل المحرومين والمستضعفين، جماعات وأفرادا.

" We commit ourselves to promoting social integration by fostering societies that are stable, safe and just and that are based on the promotion and protection of all human rights, as well as on non-discrimination, tolerance, respect for diversity, equality of opportunity, solidarity, security, and participation of all people, including disadvantaged and vulnerable groups and persons. "
" نلتزم بالعمل على تحقيق الاندماج الاجتماعي، وذلك بتشجيع إقامة مجتمعات تتسم بالاستقرار والأمان والعدالة وتقوم على تعزيز جميع حقوق الإنسان وحمايتها، وعلى عدم التمييز، والتسامح، واحترام التنوع، وتكافؤ الفرص، والتضامن، والأمن، ومشاركة كل المحرومين والمستضعفين، جماعات وأفرادا " .

In this regard, it is critical to ensure that agreed conclusions of the Commission, particularly on the priority themes for 1998 on promoting social integration and participation of all people, including the disadvantaged and vulnerable groups and persons, and on the priority themes for 1999 on social services for all, find concrete expression in enriching the preparatory process for the special session.
وفي هذا الصدد، من اﻷهمية كفالة إثراء العملية التحضيرية للدورة الاستثنائية بالاستنتاجات التي تتفق عليها اللجنة، لا سيما من المواضيع التي تتصف باﻷولوية لعام ١٩٩٨ مثل تعزيز التكامل والمشاركة لجميع الناس على الصعيد الاجتماعي، وبخاصة المحرومين والفئات الضعيفة والمستضعفيــن، والمواضيع التي تتصف باﻷولوية لعام ١٩٩٩ مثل توفير الخدمات الاجتماعية للجميع.

The Council might consider endorsing the recommendation of the Commission for Social Development to carry out an overall review of the theme of promoting social integration and participation of all people in 1998.
وقد ينظر المجلس في اعتماد توصية لجنة التنمية الاجتماعية بإجراء استعراض عام لموضوع تعزيز التكافل الاجتماعي والمشاركة للجميع في عام ١٩٩٨.
