In its resolution 2004/56, the Commission, after having acknowledged with appreciation the entry into force of the Convention on 1 July 2003, welcomed the signing or ratification of or accession to the Convention since then by other States and again called upon all States that had not yet done so to consider urgently signing and ratifying or acceding to the Convention. 4- وفي قرارها 2004/56، لاحظت اللجنة مع التقدير دخول الاتفاقية الدولية لحماية حقوق جميع العمال المهاجرين وأفراد أسرهم حيز النفاذ في 1 تموز/يوليه 2003، ثم رحبت بقيام دول أخرى منذ ذلك التاريخ بالتوقيع أو التصديق على الاتفاقية أو الانضمام إليها، وطلبت إلى جميع الدول التي لم تنظر بعد في التوقيع والتصديق على الاتفاقية أو الانضمام إليها أن تفعل ذلك على وجه السرعة.

Calls upon all Member States to consider signing and ratifying or acceding to the Convention as a matter of priority, expresses the hope that it will enter into force at an early date, and notes that, pursuant to article 87 of the Convention, only four more ratifications or accessions are needed for it to enter into force;
3 - تهيب بجميع الدول الأعضاء النظر في التوقيع على الاتفاقية والتصديق عليها أو الانضمام إليها كمسألة ذات أولويــــة، وتعرب عن الأمل في أن تدخل حيز النفاذ في وقت مبكر، وتلاحظ أنه عملا بالمادة 87 من الاتفاقية، ما زال يلزم أن تصدق على الاتفاقية أو تنضم إليها أربعة بلدان فقط كيما تصبح نافذة المفعول؛
