17- وشدد ممثل الكويت على أن النظام الداخلي ينبغي أن يجسد آراء الدول الأعضاء بغية تحقيق أهداف المؤتمر الرئيسية، وهي تحسين قدرة الدول الأطراف في الاتفاقية على مكافحة الجريمة المنظمة عبر الوطنية وترويج تنفيذ الاتفاقية واستعراضه.

According to article 32, paragraph 1, of the Organized Crime Convention, the two main objectives of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime are to improve the capacity of States parties to combat transnational organized crime and to promote and review the implementation of the Convention.

In its resolution 5/5, the Conference recalled article 32 of the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, according to which the Conference is to promote and review the implementation of the Convention and is to agree upon mechanisms for achieving that objective.
