كما توصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف باتخاذ تدابير لتغيير المواقف النمطية والأعراف الثقافية السلبية عن مسؤوليات وأدوار المرأة والرجل وتشجيع التوافق بين مسؤوليات الأسرة والعمل بين الرجال والنساء، وتصميم وتنفيذ برامج للتوعية موجهة إلى جميع مستويات المجتمع.

167. The Committee urges the State party to increase its efforts to design and implement comprehensive awareness-raising programmes to foster a better understanding of equality between women and men at all levels of society with a view to changing stereotypical attitudes and negative cultural norms about the responsibilities and roles of women and men in the family and society.
167 - وتحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف علي زيادة جهودها لتخطيط وتنفيذ حملات شاملة لزيادة الوعي من أجل تعزيز فهم أفضل للمساواة بين المرأة والرجل في جميع مستويات المجتمع بغية تغيير الاتجاهات النمطية والمفاهيم الثقافية السلبية عن مسؤوليات وأدوار المرأة والرجل في الأسرة والمجتمع.

Governments should assess the needs and roles of women and men and the barriers they face and address them through policies that foster conditions that will transform their roles; they should ensure that women and girls can freely redefine the parameters of their roles, whether in agriculture, health, engineering, the household or policy.
وينبغي أن تعمل الحكومات على تقييم احتياجات وأدوار المرأة والرجل فضلاً عن الحواجز التي يواجهانها، وأن تتصدّى لهذه الأمور من خلال السياسات التي تهيئ الظروف الكفيلة بتحويل أدوارهما بما يكفل للنساء والفتيات الحرية في إعادة تعريف محدّدات الأدوار التي يقمن بها سواء في مجالات الزراعة أو الصحة أو الهندسة أو في نطاق الأسرة المعيشية أو على صعيد السياسة.

وتهيب بالدولة الطرف مضاعفة جهودها الرامية إلى تصميم وتنفيذ برامج شاملة لزيادة الوعي ترمي إلى تشجيع تحسين فهم المساواة بين الرجل والمرأة على جميع مستويات المجتمع بغية تحويل المواقف النمطية والأعراف الثقافية السلبية عن مسؤوليات وأدوار المرأة والرجل في الأسرة والمجتمع، وفقا للمادة 5 (أ) من الاتفاقية.

231. The Committee encourages the State party to strengthen its measures to change stereotypical attitudes about the responsibilities and roles of women and men in society, in order to promote the reconciliation of private and family life and work responsibilities between women and men, in accordance with articles 5 (a) and 11.1 (b) and (c) of the Convention.
231 - وتشجع اللجنة الدولة الطرف على تعزيز تدابيرها الرامية إلى تغيير المواقف النمطية عن مسؤوليات وأدوار المرأة والرجل في المجتمع لتشجيع التوفيق بين حياة الأسرة الخاصـة ومســؤوليات العمــل لــدى الرجــال والنساء، وفقا للفقرة (أ) من المادة 5 و 1- (ب) و (ج) من المادة 11 من الاتفاقية.
