The Special Representative calls on States to sign and ratify the following international instruments, which provide for the protection of children in the context of armed conflict: the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and the ILO Convention concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour.

The Slovak Republic is a party to the ILO Convention concerning the Application of the Principles of the Right to Organise and to Bargain Collectively (No. 98) of 1949 and the ILO Convention concerning Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise (No. 87) of 1948 (published in the Collection of Laws under No. 489/1990 Coll.).
