More sustainable energy patterns throughout the world and the protection of the atmosphere are recognized as important policy objectives at both the national and international levels.
وجرى التسليم على الصعيدين الوطني والدولي بأن اتباع أنماط أكثر استدامة للطاقة في سائر أرجاء العالم وحماية الغلاف الجوي هما هدفان من اﻷهداف الهامة للسياسات العامة.

The Working Group stressed the close interrelationship between the protection of oceans and all kinds of seas and the protection of the atmosphere in view of the exchange of matter and energy that took place between the atmosphere and oceans and their influence on marine and terrestrial ecosystems.
١٤ - وأكد الفريق العامل العلاقة الوثيقة بين حماية المحيطات وكل أنواع البحار وحماية الغلاف الجوي نظرا لتبادل المادة والطاقة الذي يحدث بين الغلاف الجوي والمحيطات وتأثيرهما على النظم اﻹيكولوجية البحرية والبرية.

40. The report of the Secretary-General on energy and the protection of the atmosphere, prepared for consideration by the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development at its second session, discusses issues related to the protection of the atmosphere from energy-related sources, as well as strategies for mitigating and avoiding adverse impacts of possible climate change.
٤٠ - وترد في تقرير اﻷمين العام عن الطاقة وحماية الغلاف الجوي الذي أعده لتنظر فيه اللجنة المعنية بمصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة وبتسخير الطاقة ﻷغراض التنمية في دورتها الثانية، مناقشة للمسائل المتعلقة بحماية الغلاف الجوي من المصادر المتصلة بالطاقة، وكذلك الاستراتيجيات المتعلقة بتخفيف وتفادي التأثيرات الضارة للتغير المحتمل في المناخ.
