Since 1991, when the Committee had last considered the item, two more antiterrorism instruments had entered into force, namely, the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation and the Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Fixed Platforms located on the Continental Shelf.

As regards international conventions on terrorism, the Russian Federation continues to work on the ratification of the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Maritime Navigation and the Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Fixed Platforms Located on the Continental Shelf.

Kyrgyzstan's relevant ministries and departments are also studying the possibility of acceding to the remaining conventions: the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material; the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Maritime Navigation; and the Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Fixed Platforms Located on the Continental Shelf.

It would also be ratifying other legal instruments, in particular the International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings, the International Convention against the Taking of Hostages and the Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts of Violence at Airports serving International Civil Aviation, supplementary to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation.
كما ستصدق على صكوك قانونية أخرى، ولا سيما الاتفاقية الدولية لقمع الهجمات الإرهابية بالقنابل، والاتفاقية الدولية لمناهضة أخذ الرهائن والبروتوكول المتعلق بقمع أعمال العنف غير المشروعة في المطارات التي تخدم الطيران المدني الدولي، والمكمل لاتفاقية مكافحة الأعمال غير المشروعة الموجهة ضد سلامة الطيران المدني.

In the past year New Zealand had become a party to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Maritime Navigation (Rome, 1988) and the Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts of Violence at Airports Serving Civil International Aviation (Montreal, 1989).
وفي العام الماضي انضمت نيوزيلندا إلى اتفاقية قمع الأعمال غير المشروعة الموجهة ضد سلامة الملاحة البحرية (روما، 1988)، والبروتوكول المتعلق بقمع أعمال العنف غير المشروعة في المطارات التي تخدم الطيران المدني الدولي (مونتريال، 1989).
