5. The two international organs of the Decade, the Special High-Level Council and the Scientific and Technical Committee, have highlighted a number of actions and activities pursuant to the objectives of the Decade. These include:
٥ - وقد أبرز الجهازان الدوليان للعقد وهما المجلس الخاص الرفيع المستوى واللجنة العلمية والتقنية عددا من الاجراءات واﻷنشطة عملا بأهداف العقد، ومنها:

(a) Travel and subsistence costs for members of the Special High-level Council and the Scientific and Technical Committee
)أ( تكاليف السفر واﻹقامة ﻷعضاء المجلس الخاص الرفيع المستوى واللجنة العلمية والتقنية للاشتراك في المؤتمر

6. Reaffirmation of the roles of the Special High-level Council and the Scientific and Technical Committee in promoting Decade activities, in particular the awareness of the benefits of disaster reduction.
٦ - إعادة تأكيد دوري المجلس الخاص الرفيع المستوى واللجنة العلمية والتقنية في تعزيز أنشطة العقد، لا سيما في التوعية بفوائد الحد من الكوارث.

(j) Reaffirmation of the roles of the Special High-Level Council and the Scientific and Technical Committee in promoting Decade activities, in particular the awareness of the benefits of disaster reduction;
)ي( إعادة تأكيد دوري المجلس الخاص الرفيع المستوى واللجنة العلمية والتقنية في تعزيز أنشطة العقد، لا سيما في التوعية بفوائد الحد من الكوارث؛

(b) Authorized the members of the extended Bureau, which would be open to members of all interested delegations and representatives of the United Nations system and the Scientific and Technical Committee of the Decade, to hold further informal consultations on the text before the opening of the Conference;
)ب( أذنت ﻷعضاء المكتب الموسع، الذي سيكون مفتوحا ﻷعضاء جميع الوفود المعنية وممثلي منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة واللجنة العلمية والتقنية للعقد، بعقد المزيد من المشاورات غير الرسمية بشأن النص قبل افتتاح المؤتمر؛

The Assembly requested, inter alia, that the secretariat be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of Decade activities and provide substantive and secretarial support to the Special High-level Council and the Scientific and Technical Committee, as well as for other related activities.
وكانت الجمعية قد طلبت )القرار ٤٤/٢٣٦، المرفق(، في جملة أمور، أن تتولى اﻷمانة مسؤولية التنسيق اليومي ﻷنشطة العقد، وأن توفر الدعم الموضوعي ودعم اﻷمانات للمجلس الخاص الرفيع المستوى المعني بالعقد واللجنة العلمية والتقنية المعنية بالعقد، فضلا عن اﻷنشطة اﻷخرى ذات الصلة.

10. The additional costs which would be incurred by the Decade secretariat ($644,500) and the travel and subsistence costs for members of the Special High-level Council and the Scientific and Technical Committee, and for representatives of the least developed countries ($440,200) would be funded through the mobilization of extrabudgetary resources.
٠١ - وستمول التكاليف الاضافية التي ستتحملها أمانة العقد )٥٠٠ ٦٤٤ دولارا( وتكاليف السفر واﻹقامة ﻷعضاء المجلس الخاص الرفيع المستوى واللجنة العلمية والتقنية وممثلي أقل البلدان نموا )٢٠٠ ٤٤٠ دولار( من خلال تعبئة موارد خارجة عن الميزانية.
