In response to a recommendation made at the eighth session, ILO, OHCHR and the secretariat of the Permanent Forum organized a technical expert meeting on indicators of the well-being of indigenous peoples.

The Office has jointly authored The United Nations Handbook for Parliamentarians: Implementing the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, together with UNDP, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the secretariat of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.

The Office of the Special Adviser on Gender Issues and Advancement of Women and the secretariat of the Permanent Forum have cooperated to produce a series of briefing notes on gender and indigenous issues, which will be jointly published and disseminated during the fourth session of the Permanent Forum.

3. In response to that recommendation, ILO, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the secretariat of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues jointly organized the technical expert meeting on 20 and 21 September 2010 at ILO headquarters in Geneva.
3 - واستجابة لهذه التوصية، اشتركت منظمة العمل الدولية ومفوضية الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان وأمانة المنتدى الدائم المعني بقضايا الشعوب الأصلية في تنظيم اجتماع الخبراء التقنيين، وذلك يومي 20 و 21 أيلول/سبتمبر 2010 في مقر منظمة العمل الدولية في جنيف.

21. ILO, OHCHR and the secretariat of the Permanent Forum, in collaboration with the Inter-Agency Support Group, are requested to continue developing an integrated assessment framework for indigenous peoples' rights, based on the key conclusions of the technical expert meeting.
21 - ويُطلب إلى منظمة العمل الدولية ومفوضية الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان وأمانة المنتدى الدائم مواصلة العمل، بالتعاون مع فريق الدعم المشترك بين الوكالات، على أعداد إطار تقييم متكامل لحقوق الشعوب الأصلية، على أساس الاستنتاجات الرئيسية التي انتهى إليها اجتماع الخبراء التقنيين.

22. Lastly, ILO, OHCHR and the secretariat of the Permanent Forum are requested to present the report of the technical expert meeting and an update on the progress towards an integrated assessment framework at the tenth session of the Forum, in 2011.
22 - وأخيرا، يُطلب إلى منظمة العمل الدولية ومفوضية حقوق الإنسان وأمانة المنتدى الدائم أن تعرض على المنتدى، في دورته العاشرة في عام 2011، تقرير اجتماع الخبراء التقنيين ومعلومات مستكملة بشأن التقدم لإيجاد إطارٍ للتقييم المتكامل.

71. A country-level task force on indigenous peoples' issues in Kenya, coordinated and supported by the country team, should be established to follow up the recommendations of the present report and liaise with the Group and the secretariat of the Permanent Forum on the possibility of organizing a training session on indigenous peoples' issues for the country team in Kenya.
71 - ينبغي إنشاء فرقة عمل قطرية معنية بقضايا الشعوب الأصلية في كينيا، بتنسيق ودعم من الفريق القطري، لمتابعة التوصيات الواردة في هذا التقرير، والتواصل مع فريق الدعم وأمانة المنتدى الدائم بشأن إمكانية تنظيم دورة تدريبية عن قضايا الشعوب الأصلية لفائدة الفريق القطري في كينيا.

9. In response to a recommendation by the Permanent Forum, OHCHR, ILO and the secretariat of the Permanent Forum jointly organized an expert meeting with the theme, " Keeping track: indicators, mechanisms and data for assessing the implementation of indigenous peoples' rights " , which was held place in Geneva on 20 and 21 September 2010.
9- واستجابة لتوصية قدمها المنتدى الدائم، تعاونت المفوضية ومنظمة العمل الدولية وأمانة المنتدى الدائم على تنظيم اجتماع خبراء موضوعه " التتبع: المؤشرات والآليات والبيانات المتعلقة بتقييم إعمال حقوق الشعوب الأصلية " . وعُقد الاجتماع في جنيف يومي 20 و21 أيلول/سبتمبر 2010.
