وقد نظرت في تقرير الأمين العام المعنون ' ' التقديرات المتعلقة بالبعثات السياسية الخاصة والمساعي الحميدة والمبادرات السياسية الأخرى التي أذنت بها الجمعية العامة و/أو مجلس الأمن: فريق الخبراء المعني بالجماهيرية العربية الليبية وممثل الأمم المتحدة في مباحثات جنيف الدولية``(

(c) That the resources for the activities of the Panel of Experts on the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya and the United Nations Representative to the Geneva International Discussions be absorbed within the overall appropriation approved for special political missions for the 2010-2011 biennium and to report thereon in the context of the second performance report.

In addition, some $37.3 million is requested for missions that were established after submission of the proposed programme budget for 2012-2013, namely UNSMIL ($32.5 million), the Panel of Experts on Libya ($2.6 million), and the United Nations Representative to the Geneva International Discussions ($2.2 million).

The present report contains the proposed resource requirements for two special political missions, namely, the Panel of Experts on the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya for the period from 1 April to 31 December 2011, and the United Nations Representative to the Geneva International Discussions for the period from 1 May to 31 December 2011, in the amount of $3,595,800 net ($3,747,500 gross).
