Pursuant to General Assembly resolution 59/159, draft materials for the preparation of an updated publication on world crime trends have been assembled in cooperation with the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute and circulated at the Eleventh Crime Congress and to the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at its fourteenth session.
وعملا بقرار الجمعية العامة 59/159، جُمّعت مواد أولية لإعداد منشور حديث عن الاتجاهات العالمية في الجريمة بالتعاون مع معهد الأمم المتحدة الأقاليمي لأبحاث الجريمة والعدالة، وعُمّمت هذه المواد في المؤتمر الحادي عشر لمنع الجريمة وعلى لجنة منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية في دورتها الرابعة عشرة.

3. In May 2001, a revised, updated version of the sixth quinquennial report, finalized in April 2001, was submitted to the Economic and Social Council and to the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at its tenth session (E/CN.15/2001/10).

The co-chairs presented an oral report on the work of the working group from 31 October up to 10 December 2013 to the Commission on Narcotic Drugs at its reconvened fifty-sixth session and to the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at its reconvened twenty-second session; that information is also included in the present report for the sake of completeness.
وقد قدَّم الرئيسان المتشاركان تقريراً شفوياً عن عمل الفريق العامل في الفترة من 31 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر حتى 10 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2013 إلى لجنة المخدِّرات في دورتها السادسة والخمسين المستأنفة، وإلى لجنة منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية في دورتها الثانية والعشرين المستأنفة؛ وهذه المعلومات مدرجة أيضاً في هذا التقرير لكي تكتمل الصورة.

At the meeting held on 29 October 2010, the working group did not adopt any recommendations for transmittal to the Commission on Narcotic Drugs for consideration at its reconvened fifty-third session and to the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice for consideration at its reconvened nineteenth session.

45. In 2010, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) submitted a report entitled " Drug control, crime prevention and criminal justice: a human rights perspective " to the Commission on Narcotic Drugs and to the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.

Based on the comments of the experts, a first draft text of the legislative guide was circulated to the Eleventh United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, held in Bangkok from 18 to 25 April 2005, and to the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at its fourteenth session, held in Vienna from 23 to 27 May 2005, for suggestions and comment.
