(a) When it is clearly impossible to invoke any legal basis justifying the deprivation of liberty (as when a person is kept in detention after the completion of his or her sentence or despite an amnesty law applicable to him or her) (category I);
(أ) إذا اتضحت استحالة الاحتجاج بأي أساس قانوني لتبرير الحرمان من الحرية (مثل إبقاء الشخص رهن الاحتجاز بعد قضاء مدة عقوبته أو رغم صدور قانون عفو ينطبق عليه) (الفئة الأولى)؛

For the purposes of the present Covenant, a child means every human being who, according to the law applicable to him/her, has not attained maturity.
