12 - اعتمدت الدورة التاسعة والأربعين للمؤتمر العام للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية الذي عقد خلال الفترة من 26-30 أيلول/سبتمبر 2005، القرار السنوي الذي تتقدم به مصر حول تطبيق ضمانات الوكالة في الشرق الأوسط، بتوافق الآراء، وينص القرار ضمن جملة أمور على إنشاء منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية.
