14. The Committee recalls in this framework that States parties undertake to make the principles and the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child widely known, by appropriate and active means, both to adults and children (art. 42).
١٤ - وتذكر اللجنة في هذا الاطار أن الدول اﻷطراف تتعهد بنشر مبادئ وأحكام اتفاقية حقوق الطفل على نطاق واسع بالوسائل الملائمة والفعالة بين الكبار واﻷطفال على السواء )المادة ٤٢(.

The requirement of " appropriate and active means " is by analogy based on article 42 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, under which " States parties undertake to make the principles and provisions of the Convention widely known, by appropriate and active means, to adults and children alike " .
ويستند شرط " الوسائل الملائمة والفعالة " قياسا إلى المادة 42 من اتفاقية حقوق الطفل التي بموجبها " تتعهد كل دولة طرف بالتعريف بهذا البروتوكول على نطاق واسع وبنشره وتيسير الحصول على المعلومات بشأن آراء اللجنة وتوصياتها، وبخاصة بشأن المسائل المتعلقة بالدولة الطرف، والقيام بذلك بالوسائل الملائمة والفعالة، بين الكبار والأطفال على السواء " .

7. Invites States parties to pay particular attention to the need for translating and publishing the Convention in the various local languages and to ensure that the principles and provisions thereof are made widely known, by appropriate and active means, to adults and children alike.
٧ - تدعو الدول اﻷطراف الى الانتباه بوجه خاص الى ضرورة ترجمة ونشر الاتفاقية بمختلف اللغات المحلية وضمان تعريف الكبار واﻷطفال على السواء بمبادئها وأحكامها على نطاق واسع، مستعينة في ذلك بالوسائل المناسبة والفعالة.
