I should like at this point to make some general observations on the approach the United Nations is taking in its endeavours and on the need for it to secure appropriate assurances and guarantees for the successful conduct of its mission.

57 - وقيل إن المفهوم هو أن الالتزام بمنح تأكيدات وضمانات مناسبة بعدم التكرار يحتمه احتمال التكرار، وجسامة الفعل غير المشروع، وطبيعة الالتزام الذي أخل به.

31. The Republic of Armenia's international responsibility, which is incurred by its internationally wrongful acts, involves legal consequences manifested in the obligation to cease such acts, to offer appropriate assurances and guarantees that they will not recur and to provide full reparation for injury in the form of restitution, compensation and satisfaction, either singly or in combination.

145. As regards the legal consequences for Israel, it was contended that Israel has, first, a legal obligation to bring the illegal situation to an end by ceasing forthwith the construction of the wall in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and to give appropriate assurances and guarantees of nonrepetition.
