1. At its forty-fourth session, held from 26 February to 1 March 2013, the Statistical Commission endorsed the revised Framework for the Development of Environment Statistics as the framework for the strengthening of environment statistics programmes in countries, and recognized it as a useful tool in the context of sustainable development goals and the post-2015 development agenda.
