وقد أعلن القرار 62/122 يوم 25 آذار/مارس بوصفه اليوم الدولي لإحياء ذكرى ضحايا الرق وتجارة الرقيق عبر المحيط الأطلسي.

It saw the celebration of international commemorations, such as the International Day for Victims of Torture, as an important vehicle for moral rehabilitation.
كما أعرب عن رأيه في أن الاحتفال بالمناسبات الدولية مثل اليوم الدولي لضحايا التعذيب أداة هامة للتأهيل المعنوي.
