During the 2012/13 period, UNIFIL continued to monitor the cessation of hostilities and assist the Lebanese Armed Forces in maintaining its area of operations free of any unauthorized armed personnel, assets and weapons through patrolling activities (daily vehicle and foot patrols and regular helicopter patrols) and efforts to prevent violations of the Blue Line, as well as coordinated operational activities with the Lebanese Armed Forces.

100 per cent of the approved resources were utilized for: (i) the continued monitoring of the cessation of hostilities; (ii) assisting the Lebanese Armed Forces in maintaining their area of operations free of any unauthorized armed personnel, assets and weapons; and (iii) coordinated operational activities with the Lebanese Armed Forces.
