In response to the requests above and to assist the Conference of the Parties in its consideration of budget issues, the Secretariat has prepared the information provided below.

Reminds Parties that produce, use, export, import or maintain stocks of DDT to so inform the Secretariat and the World Health Organization through sections A, B, C and D of the questionnaire set out in annex III to the present decision in order to assist the Conference of the Parties in its evaluation of the continued need for DDT in disease vector control;
دي. تي وتستخدمها وتصدرها وتستوردها أو تحتفظ بمخزوناتها، أن تبلغ الأمانة ومنظمة الصحة العالمية بذلك طبقاً لما ورد بالأجزاء ألف وباء وجيم ودال من الاستبيان المبين في المرفق الثالث لهذا المقرر من أجل مساعدة مؤتمر الأطراف الذي يقوم بتقييم مدى الحاجة لمادة الـ دي.

The mandate of the Working Group is to assist the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention in developing and keeping under continuous review the implementation of the Convention's work plan, specific operational policies and decisions taken by the Conference of the Parties for the implementation of the Convention.
وتتمثل ولاية الفريق في مساعدة مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية بازل على وضع خطة عمل لتنفيذ الاتفاقية وإبقائها قيد الاستعراض المستمر، وكذلك تنفيذ سياسات وقرارات عملية معينة اتخذها مؤتمر الأطراف بغرض تنفيذ الاتفاقية.

(b) That objective impact indicators be developed to assist the Conference of the Parties in reviewing the implementation of the Convention, paying attention to specific regional circumstances.
(ب) أن يتم وضع مؤشرات موضوعية لتقييم التأثير قصد مساعدة مؤتمر الأطراف في استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية، مع إيلاء اهتمام للظروف الخاصة بكل إقليم.

7. The Meeting further recommended that objective indicators of progress and impact be developed to assist the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime in reviewing the implementation of the Convention, paying attention to specific regional circumstances.
7- وأوصى الاجتماع كذلك بوضع مؤشرات موضوعية للتقدم والأثر، من أجل مساعدة مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الجريمة المنظمة عبر الوطنية على استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية، مع ايلاء الاهتمام للظروف الإقليمية المعينة.

(b) Request the Secretariat to develop draft elements of a process to assist the Conference of the Parties in evaluating the effectiveness of the Convention for consideration at its second meeting;
(ب) أن يطلب إلى الأمانة أن تعد مشاريع عناصر لعملية مساعدة مؤتمر الأطراف في تقييم فعالية الاتفاقية لكي ينظر فيها أثناء اجتماعه الثاني؛

Speaking on behalf of herself and her Co-Chair, Mr. Prakash Kowlesser (Mauritius), she observed that the role of the Working Group was to assist the Conference of the Parties in developing and keeping under review the operational policies and decisions adopted by the Conference of the Parties on policy, technical, scientific, legal and institutional matters related to the implementation of the Basel Convention.
وقالت، متكلمة أصالة عن نفسها ونيابة عن زميلها الرئيس المشارك السيد براكاش كوليسر (موريشيوس)، إن دور الفريق العامل هو مساعدة مؤتمر الأطراف في تطوير السياسات التشغيلية والمقررات التي يعتمدها مؤتمر الأطراف فيما يتعلق بالسياسات والمسائل التقنية والعلمية والقانونية والمؤسسية المتصلة بتنفيذ اتفاقية بازل وإبقاء تلك السياسات والمقررات قيد الاستعراض.

(a) assist the Conference of the Parties in carrying out the activities set forth in article 32 of this Convention and make arrangements and provide the necessary services for the sessions of the Conference of the Parties;
