This fact made more difficult the performance by the Special Representative of his mandate under Commission on Human Rights resolution 1993/6 of 19 February 1993 to " maintain contact with the Government of Cambodia " and to " assist the Government in the promotion and protection of human rights " (para. 6 (a) and (c)).
اﻷمر الذي زاد من صعوبة قيام الممثل الخاص بمهام ولايته بموجب قرار لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان رقم ٣٩٩١/٦ المؤرخ في ٩١ شباط/فبراير ٣٩٩١ بشأن " إبقاء الاتصالات قائمة مع حكومة كمبوديا " و " مساعدة الحكومة في تعزيز وحماية حقوق اﻹنسان " )الفقرة ٩٦، البندان ألف وجيم(.

The Cambodia office was also requested to provide support to the work of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Human Rights in Cambodia, who is mandated to: (a) maintain contact with the Government and people of Cambodia; (b) guide and coordinate the United Nations human rights presence in Cambodia; and (c) assist the Government in the promotion and protection of human rights.
2- وطلبت اللجنة من مكتب مفوضة الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الانسان في كمبوديا أيضاً أن يقدم الدعم لعمل الممثل الخاص للأمين العام لحقوق الإنسان في كمبوديا لتأدية ولايته التي تشمل ما يلي: (أ) الإبقاء على اتصال مع حكومة كمبوديا وشعبها؛ (ب) توجيه وتنسيق وجود الأمم المتحدة في مجال حقوق الإنسان في كمبوديا؛ (ج) مساعدة الحكومة في تعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان.
