The Board noted that the day-to-day management of petty cash accounts (1 in Brussels and 1 in New York replenished with Euro1,000 and $2,000, respectively) did not always comply with the Controller's guidelines and instructions covering petty cash operations, especially as regards the threshold per transaction, the balance at biennium end and the use of funds solely for the purpose for which they were authorized.
