During the second round of inter-Tajik talks, held at Tehran from 18 to 28 June 1994, some progress was made, despite the fact that no conclusive results were produced and agreement on a cease-fire proved elusive.

16. The Eighth Organization of the Islamic Conference Summit, held at Tehran from 9 to 11 December 1997, urged States to regard unilateral measures of a political or economic nature by one country against another in violation of international law and standards as null and void.

2. The second round of inter-Tajik talks duly took place at Tehran from 18 to 28 June 1994 with the participation of observers from Afghanistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, the Russian Federation and the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE).

In 1999, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran agreed to provide, at no cost, conference facilities and accommodations for the participants of a regional refresher course to be held at Tehran from 20 November to 1 December 1999.
وفي عام ١٩٩٩، وافقت حكومة إيران )جمهورية - اﻹسلامية( على أن توفر، مجانا، تسهيلات للمؤتمرات ومرافق سكنى للمشاركين في دورة دراسية إقليمية لتجديد المعلومات ستعقد في طهران في الفترة من ٢٠ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر إلى ١ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٩.

A similar observation was also made by the sixth Workshop on Regional Arrangements for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights in the Asia and Pacific Region, held at Tehran from 28 February to 2 March 1998 (see E/CN.4/1998/50).

23. The United Nations/Islamic Republic of Iran Regional Workshop on the Use of Space Technology for Environmental Security, Disaster Rehabilitation and Sustainable Development, held at Tehran from 8 to 12 May 2004, was organized in conjunction with the Iran Space Agency and was supported by ESA.
