وإذ يدرك ما ورد في المقرر 23/م أ-11 بشأن اتخاذ تدابير لتمكين اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر من أن تصبح مرجعاً عالمياً في مجال المعرفة العلمية والتقنية المتعلقة بالتصحر وتدهور الأراضي والتخفيف من آثار الجفاف،

13. It was reiterated that the UNCCD 10-year strategic plan and framework to enhance the implementation of the Convention (The Strategy) has the vision to enable the UNCCD to become a global authority on scientific and technical knowledge pertaining to desertification/land degradation and the mitigation of the effects of drought.
13- جرى التأكيد مجدداً على أن الخطة وإطار العمل الاستراتيجيان للسنوات العشر من أجل تعزيز تنفيذ الاتفاقية تتضمن تصوراً يقضي بتمكين اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر من أن تصبح مرجعاً عالمياً بشأن المعرفة العلمية والتقنية المتعلقة بالتصحّر وتدهور الأراضي والتخفيف من آثار الجفاف.
