وفي الفقرة ٤ من مشروع القرار، يطلب من الفريق العامل أن يبدأ أعماله الموضوعية خلال الدورة الخمسين للجمعية العامة وأن يقدم تقريرا عن أعماله قبل نهاية تلك الدورة.

وفي الدورة الثامنة والأربعين، أنشأت الجمعية العامة الفريق العامل المفتوح باب العضوية المعني بمسألة التمثيــــل العــادل فــي مجلــس الأمــن وزيادة عدد أعضائه والمسائل الأخرى المتصلة بمجلس الأمن، وطلبت إلى الفريق العامل أن يقدم إلى الجمعية قبل نهاية تلك الدورة تقريرا عن سير أعماله (القرار 48/26).

At its forty-eighth session, the General Assembly established the Open-ended Working Group on the Question of Equitable Representation on and Increase in the Membership of the Security Council and Other Matters Related to the Security Council, and requested the Working Group to submit a report on the progress of its work to the Assembly before the end of that session (resolution 48/26).
وفي الدورة الثامنة والأربعين، أنشأت الجمعية العامة الفريق العامل المفتوح باب العضوية المعني بمسألة التمثيــــل العــادل فــي مجلــس الأمــن وزيادة عدد أعضائه والمسائل الأخرى المتصلة بمجلس الأمن، وطلبت إلى الفريق العامل أن يقدم إلى الجمعية قبل نهاية تلك الدورة تقريرا عن سير أعماله (القرار 48/26).

1. The present report is prepared and submitted in pursuance of decision 48/498 of 14 September 1994, by which the General Assembly took note of the work of the Open-ended Working Group and decided that the Open-ended Working Group should continue its work, taking into account, inter alia, the views expressed at the forty-ninth session, and submit a report to the Assembly before the end of that session.
١ - أعد هذا التقرير ويقدم عملا بالمقرر ٤٨/٤٩٨ المؤرخ ١٤ أيلول/سبتمـــبر ١٩٩٤ الــذي بموجبــه أحاطت الجمعية العامة علما بأعمال الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية وقررت أن يواصل الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية أعماله، آخذا في الاعتبار، في جملة أمور، اﻵراء المعرب عنها في الدورة التاسعة واﻷربعين، وأن يقدم تقريرا إلى الجمعية العامة قبل نهاية تلك الدورة.
