يكون التعديل، عند بدء نفاذه، ملزماً للدول الأطراف التي قبلته وتبقى الدول الأطراف الأخرى ملزمة بأحكام هذا البروتوكول وبأية تعديلات سابقة تكون قد قبلتها.

3. When amendments enter into force, they shall be binding on those States Parties that have accepted them, other States Parties still being bound by the provisions of the present Protocol and any earlier amendments that they have accepted.
3- عندما تصبح التعديلات نافذة فإنها تكون ملزمة للدول الأطراف التي قبلتها، وتظل الدول الأطراف الأخرى ملزمة بأحكام هذا البروتوكول وأي تعديلات سابقة تكون قد قبلتها.

المادة ١٨-٣: عندما تصبح التعديلات نافذة فإنها تكون ملزمــة للـدول اﻷطراف التي قبلتها وتظل الدول اﻷطراف اﻷخرى ملزمة بأحكام هذا البروتوكــول وأيــة تعديلات سابقة تكون قد قبلتها.

المادة ٢٩-٣: عندمـا تصبح التعديلات نافذة فإنها تكون ملزمة للدول اﻷطراف التي قبلتهــا. وتظــل الدول اﻷطراف اﻷخرى ملزمة بأحكام هذه الاتفاقية وأية تعديلات سابقة تكون قد قبلتها.
