14. Ms. Belskaya (Belarus) said that documents such as the Secretary-General's report on the situation of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran undermined human rights and respectful legal dialogue.

At its 14th meeting, on 15 February, the Vice-Chair and facilitator of the draft resolution, Larysa Belskaya (Belarus), made a statement and orally corrected a draft resolution entitled " Second review and appraisal of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing, 2002 " (E/CN.5/2013/L.6), submitted by her on the basis of informal consultations.

The newly-elected Chair then recalled that also at its 1st meeting of the fifty-first session, the Commission had elected Ms. Larysa Belskaya (Belarus), Ms. Amira Fahmy (Egypt) and Ms. Emma Aparici (Spain) as Vice-Chairs, and that in the absence of a nomination of a candidate for Vice-Chair from the Latin American and Caribbean States, the Commission had postponed the election of the remaining Vice-Chair.
