Member States have begun to stress the responsibility of the individual Departments for producing their web sites in the six official languages.1 Nevertheless, despite efforts by the Department of Public Information and other Departments, the gap between languages on the United Nations web site remains.

In Geneva and Vienna, disparities between languages exist, both as a result of the “rotation factor” described above, which has affected the Chinese and Russian translation sections at those duty stations as well, and of the abolition of vacant posts in recent bienniums, which is reflected in ratios lower than 100 per cent in the Arabic and Spanish sections at the United Nations Office at Geneva.
وهناك تباينات بين اللغات في جنيف وفيينا نتيجة ﻟ " عامل التناوب " المذكور أعلاه، الذي أثﱠر في قسمي الترجمة التحريرية الصيني والروسي في مركزي العمل هذين، ونتيجة كذلك ﻹلغاء الوظائف الشاغرة في فترات السنتين اﻷخيرة مما أدى إلى انخفاض النسب إلى ما دون ١٠٠ في المائة في القسمين العربي والاسباني في مكتب اﻷمم المتحدة في جنيف.

The meetings chosen should offer a wide variety of interpreting situations (both highly structured meetings and meetings with frequent spontaneous interaction) and entail the use of all six languages, in order to test relays between languages and to assess the effects of remote interpretation on participants using different languages.
وينبغي للاجتماعات المختارة أن تنطوي على طائفة واسعة من مواقف الترجمة الشفوية (الاجتماعات الدقيقة التنظيم والاجتماعات التي يتواتر فيها التفاعل العفوي) وتنطوي على استخدام جميع اللغات الست بما يكفل اختبار النقل بين اللغات وتقييم آثار الترجمة الشفوية عن بعد بالنسبة للمشاركين الذين يستخدمون اللغات المختلفة.

Noting that 2012 marks the 20th anniversary of the adoption by the General Assembly of the Declaration on the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearances, the Working Group encourages all States to translate it with no distinction between languages and dialects since all serve the purpose of assisting in its global dissemination and the ultimate goal of prevention of enforced disappearances.
587- وإذ يشير الفريق العامل إلى أن عام 2012 تحل فيه الذكرى السنوية العشرين لاعتماد الجمعية العامة لإعلان حماية جميع الأشخاص من الاختفاء القسري، فإنه يشجع جميع الدول على ترجمة الإعلان دون تمييز بين اللغات واللهجات حيث إنها كلها تخدم الغرض المتمثل في المساعدة في نشره على النطاق العالمي والهدف النهائي المتمثل في منع حدوث حالات الاختفاء القسري.
