While expressing interest in participating in a seniorlevel meeting between the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the specialized agencies, FAO considered it urgent that a system of responding to requests from the treaty bodies and OHCHR for country information be established, to enable informed interaction between food security experts and members of the Committee.
5- وبينما أعربت المنظمة عن اهتمامها بالاشتراك في اجتماع رفيع المستوى بين اللجنة المعنية بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية والوكالات المتخصصة، فإنها رأت أن من الضروري أن يُنشأ، على نحو عاجل، نظام للاستجابة للطلبات المقدمة من الهيئات المنشأة بموجب معاهدات ومن المفوضية السامية لحقوق الانسان للحصول على معلومات قطرية، وذلك لإتاحة التفاعل المبني على الدراية بين خبراء الأمن الغذائي وأعضاء اللجنة.

The Committee notes with appreciation that at the 159th session of the UNESCO Executive Board (May 2000) Finland underlined the importance of collaboration between the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and UNESCO in the context of follow-up to the Dakar Framework for Action (April 2000), with a view to achieving the effective realization of the right to education.
10- وتلاحظ اللجنة مع التقدير أن فنلندا أكدت خلال الدورة 159 للمجلس التنفيذي لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلوم والثقافة (اليونسكو) المعقودة في (أيار/مايو 2000)، على أهمية التعاون بين اللجنة المعنية بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية واليونسكو في سياق أعمال متابعة إطار عمل داكار (نيسان/أبريل 2000)، بهدف بلوغ مرحلة التطبيق الفعال للحق في التعليم.

The Joint Expert Group, therefore, agreed that one focus of the cooperation between the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the Committee on Conventions and Recommendations had to be the elaboration of operational definitions in particular with regard to the right to education on the grounds of legal parameters and general comment No. 13 (1999) of the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
