Before I move on to discuss our cooperation in the field, and in particular our cooperation in Kosovo, let me describe an important development that reflected the deepening of relations between our two organizations, namely, the conclusion of memorandums of understanding and exchanges of letters between the OSCE and United Nations agencies.
وقبـــل أن أنتقـــل إلى مناقشة تعاوننا في الميدان، ولا سيما تعاوننا في كوسوفو، اسمحوا لي أن أذكر تطورا هاما أظهر عمق العلاقات بين منظمتينا، عنيت إبرام مذكرات تفاهم وتبادل رسائل بين منظمة اﻷمن والتعاون في أوروبا ووكالات اﻷمم المتحدة.

The organization submits its assistance to uphold universal values and principles through its Platform for Cooperative Security, which is also a flexible framework for a non-hierarchical interaction between the OSCE and other European organizations.
فالمنظمة تقدم مساعدتها للنهوض بالقيم والمبادئ العالمية عن طريق خطتها لﻷمن التعاوني التي تمثل أيضا إطارا مرنا لقيام تفاعل غير طبقي بين المنظمة وغيرها من المنظمات اﻷوروبية.

In our capacity as the next Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE, we will continue the efforts to strengthen the relationship between the OSCE and the United Nations at both the political and field levels.
وبوصفنا الرئيس التالي لمنظمة اﻷمن والتعاون في أوروبا، فإننا سنواصل بذل الجهود الرامية إلى تدعيم العلاقة بين المنظمة واﻷمم المتحدة على الصعيدين السياســي والميداني على حد سواء.

In that context, a memorandum of understanding between the OSCE, the United Nations and the Economic Commission for Europe is currently being worked out in order to provide a legal framework for future joint activities.

In particular, we feel it necessary to intensify the cooperation between the OSCE and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, notably in providing assistance to the countries with economies in transition.
