10. In its resolution 53/210 of 18 December 1998, the General Assembly approved revised cost-sharing arrangements between the United Nations and the Fund.

91. The Standing Committee also agreed that the appropriate sharing of both internal and external audit costs would have to be reviewed as part of the longer-term study of the administrative arrangements between the United Nations and the Fund.
٩١ - كما وافقت اللجنة الدائمة على أنه ينبغي إعادة النظر في التقاسم المناسب لتكاليف كل من المراجعة الداخلية والخارجية للحسابات كجزء من دراسة الترتيبات اﻹدارية بين اﻷمم المتحدة والصندوق في اﻷجل الطويل.

20. As shown in paragraph 166 of the Board’s report, the increase in the administrative cost of the Fund under the revised cost-sharing formula between the United Nations and the Fund would amount to $730,800, as from 1 January 1999.
٢٠ - وكما هو مبين في الفقرة ١٦٦ من تقرير المجلس، فإن الزيادة في التكاليف اﻹدارية للصندوق في إطار الصيغة المنقحة لتقاسم التكاليف بين اﻷمم المتحدة والصندوق سوف تصل إلى ٨٠٠ ٧٣٠ دولار، اعتبارا من ١ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٩.

These pressures have no doubt contributed to the apparent change in the position of the United Nations as regards: (a) its host organization commitments to the Fund; and (b) the continuing viability of the current administrative arrangements between the United Nations and the Fund in general, and the appropriate cost sharing in particular.
