8. The Working Group recommends continued and improved cooperation between the Working Group on Minorities and the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights, including the undertaking of a joint study on the relationship between minorities and indigenous populations as it pertains to the African region.

61. Support greater cooperation between the Working Group on Minorities and regional mechanisms and institutions, especially joint initiatives proposed with the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, the Inter-American Institute for Human Rights, the Council of Europe and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

In its resolution 1882 (2009), the Council requested enhanced communication between the Working Group on Children and Armed Conflict and the Council's sanctions committees.

42. Speaking on his own behalf, he noted three achievements in the two years of the Committee's existence: the full functioning of the Convention; the spirit of partnership between the Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances and other treaty bodies and special rapporteurs; and the network of links established between the Convention and other instruments on issues such as gender, economic and social rights and military courts.
