H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, and H.E. Mr. Djibril Bassolé, the African Union-United Nations Joint Chief Mediator, issued the following statement:
أدلى سعادة السيد أحمد بن عبد الله آل محمود وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية وسعادة السيد جبريل باسولي الوسيط المشترك للاتحاد الأفريقي والأمم المتحدة بالبيان التالي:

The Conference commended the tremendous efforts, commitment and patience exhibited by H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, and H.E. Mr. Djibril Bassolé, the African Union-United Nations Joint Chief Mediator towards finding a political settlement of the crisis.
وقد أشاد المؤتمر كذلك بالجهود الهائلة التي بذلها كل من سعادة السيد أحمد بن عبد الله آل محمود وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية بدولة قطر وسعادة السيد جبريل باسولي الوسيط المشترك للاتحاد الأفريقي والأمم المتحدة والالتزام والصبر اللذين أبدياهما تجاه إيجاد تسوية سياسية شاملة للأزمة.

H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, and H.E. Mr. Djibrill Bassole, the African Union/United Nations Joint Chief Mediator for Darfur, issued the following statement:-

16. At its 1st meeting, on 29 November, the Conference elected by acclamation Ahmad bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, as Vice-President ex officio of the Conference.

I have the honour to enclose herewith a letter dated 18 March 2010 addressed to you by Mr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar (see annex), with its enclosures, the Framework Agreement to Resolve the Conflict in Darfur and the Ceasefire Agreement, which were signed by the Government of the Sudan and the Liberation and Justice Movement, on 18 March 2010 in Doha, Qatar.*
