2. Specific measures to promote cooperation among border troops (border units) shall be agreed by the border agencies of the Parties.

The border units of the army of Yugoslavia repelled the aggression and the enemy forces were expelled from the territory of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia by 3 p.m. on 10 April 1999.

1.1 They shall exchange information on the agreed components of the armed forces and the border troops (border units);

1. The Parties' border troops (border units) shall develop cooperation in the following areas:
١ - تقوم قوات حرس الحدود )وحدات الحدود( التابعة للطرفين بتطوير التعاون في الاتجاهات التالية:

1.5 Exchanging experience in protecting the State border and training border troops (border units);
١-٥ تبادل الخبرات بشأن حراسة حدود الدولة وتدريب قوات حرس الحدود )وحدات الحدود(؛

The border troops (border units) of the Parties shall not use inhuman or rough treatment in dealing with border violators.
تمتنع قوات حرس الحدود )وحدات الحدود( عن الممارسة اللاإنسانية والفظة في التعامل مع منتهكي الحدود.

2. In the night of 28/29 May 1999, the ethnic Albanian terrorist forces opened small-arm and mortar fire from several directions in the border area of the Republic of Albania in an attempt to infiltrate men and matériel over the State border in the zone of responsibility of the border units of Djakovica and Prizren.
٢ - وفي ليلة ٢٨ إلى ٢٩ أيار/ مايو ١٩٩٩، أطلقت القوات اﻹرهابية ذات اﻷصل اﻷلباني نيران اﻷسلحة الخفيفة ومدافع الهاون من عدة اتجاهات من المنطقة الحدودية لجمهورية ألبانيا في محاولة لتسلل اﻷفراد وتسريب العتاد عبر حدود الدولة في دياكوفيتشا وبريزرن الواقعتين في المنطقة الخاضعة لمسؤولية وحدات الحدود.

1.10 They shall strengthen friendly contacts between military personnel of the armed forces and the border troops (border units) in the border area and shall carry out other confidence-building measures agreed upon by the Parties.
١-١٠ تعزيز الصلات الودية بين أفراد القوات المسلحة وقوات حرس الحدود )وحدات الحدود( في منطقة الحدود، وتنفيذ الطرفين لتدابير أخرى لبناء الثقة.

5. Within the limits of a 10-kilometre zone on both sides of the border, the Parties shall not deploy new military units other than border troops (border units).

- Regular meetings between the commanders of Togolese border units and their counterparts from neighbouring countries with a view to the exchange of information on all types of criminal activities.

During that period, 18 armed attacks from the territory of the Republic of Albania were recorded against Army of Yugoslavia border units; there have been 13 attempts of grave violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia; and the Army of Yugoslavia prevented 233 attempted illegal crossings to the state territory of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

Benin reported that such arrangements are now in place with regard to (a) the Joint Container Control Unit, and (b) the Joint Airport Interdiction Task Force, which are equipped to access sensitive information relating to cross-border criminal networks; (c) it remains to equip the specialized maritime and land border units in order to put an end to the dangerous activities of such networks.
49- وأفادت بنن بأنَّ هذه الترتيبات قائمة الآن فيما يتعلق بما يلي: (أ) الوحدة المشتركة لمراقبة الحاويات؛ (ب) قوة العمل المشتركة المعنية بالاعتراض في المطارات، وهما مجهزتان بمعدات تتيح لهما الوصول إلى المعلومات الحساسة المتصلة بالشبكات الإجرامية العابرة للحدود؛ (ج) ما زال يتعين تجهيز وحدات حرس الحدود البحرية والبرية المتخصصة بالمعدات من أجل وضع نهاية للأنشطة الخطيرة لهذه الشبكات.

3.4 To strengthen enforcement of the chain of communication in the Regional Plan for Combating Organized Crime so that the chiefs of the border units of each country, and specifically the specialized border units, may make contact with their opposite numbers in the border service to strengthen the taking of coordinated action on the basis of a timetable to be submitted to the Regional Secretariat, as a matter of urgency, by each police body.
3-4 تعزيز تنفيذ خطوط الاتصال المبينة في الخطة الإقليمية لمكافحة الجريمة المنظمة التي يجري بموجبها رؤساء الوحدات المختصة بالحدود داخل كل بلد، وعلى وجه التحديد الوحدات المتخصصة في عمليات الحدود، اتصالات مع نظرائهم المسؤولين عن الحدود بغرض دعم اتخاذ إجراءات منسقة، بناء على جدول زمني يتعين أن ترسله كل إدارة من إدارات الشرطة إلى الأمانة الإقليمية على وجه الاستعجال.
