12. Article 6 defines direct and indirect discrimination by reason of sex:
12 - وتعرِّف المادة 6 التمييز المباشر وغير المباشر بسبب الجنس كما يلي:

Article 5 of the Constitution states that everyone is equal before the law. No one shall be treated differently by reason of sex, age, origin, language, religion, beliefs, opinion, state of health, disability or other personal reason without extenuating circumstances.
وتنص المادة ٥ على تساوي الجميع أمام القانون وعدم جواز معاملة أحد معاملة مختلفة بسبب الجنس أو السن أو اﻷصل أو اللغة أو الدين أو المعتقدات أو اﻵراء أو الحالة الصحية أو العجز أو أي وضع خاص، بدون مبرر.

Why are they not equally intransigent in defence of the right to eat, to work, to learn, to live a healthy life, to not suffer discrimination by reason of sex or race, in other words the most basic rights of a human being?
من هم المستفيدون من الاتجار بأعضاء جسم اﻹنسان؟ وأين تشيع بأكبر قدر الممارسات المنحرفة للدعارة واستخدام اﻷطفال في البغاء، واﻹدمان على المخدرات وبيع القصر؟ هل هذه، من قبيل المصادفة، هي الحريات الفردية التي يدافعون عنها بحماس كبير؟ لماذا لا يدافعون بنفس القدر من العناد عن الحق في اﻷكل والعمل والتعلم والعيش معيشة سليمة دون معاناة من التمييز بسبب الجنس أو العرق، أي عن الحقوق اﻷساسية لﻹنسان؟
