1. Approves the draft agreement between the United Nations and the Royal Government of Cambodia concerning the Prosecution under Cambodian Law of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea contained in the annex to the present resolution;

The Agreement between the United Nations and the Royal Government of Cambodia concerning the Prosecution under Cambodian Law of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea has been signed by both parties and is awaiting ratification through the Cambodian legislative process.

1. Approves the draft Agreement between the United Nations and the Royal Government of Cambodia concerning the Prosecution under Cambodian Law of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea contained in the annex to the present resolution;

According to the Cambodian authorities, the Agreement between the United Nations and the Royal Government of Cambodia concerning the Prosecution under Cambodian Law of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea was to be submitted for ratification by the relevant Cambodian constitutional authorities as a matter of priority.
ووفقا لما أفادت به السلطات الكمبوديــة، كان مــن الضروري تقديم الاتفاق المبرم بين الأمم المتحدة والحكومة الملكية لكمبوديا بشأن المقاضاة بموجب القانون الكمبودي على الجرائم المرتكبة خلال فترة نظام كمبوتشيا الديمقراطية إلى السلطات الدستورية الكمبودية ذات الصلة للتصديق عليه كمسألة ذات أولوية.

5. Recalls article 15 of the Agreement between the United Nations and the Royal Government of Cambodia concerning the Prosecution under Cambodian Law of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea of 6 June 2003;

65. The General Assembly, in its resolution 57/228 B, mandated the Secretary-General to conclude the Agreement between the United Nations and the Royal Government of Cambodia concerning the Prosecution under Cambodian Law of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea.
65 - وكلفت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها 57/228 باء، الأمين العام بإبرام اتفاق بين الأمم المتحدة وحكومة كمبوديا الملكية بشأن المقاضاة بموجب القانون الكمبودي على الجرائم المرتكبة خلال فترة نظام كمبوتشيا الديمقراطية.

In accordance with article 7 (4) of the Agreement between the United Nations and the Royal Government of Cambodia concerning the Prosecution under Cambodian Law of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea, the investigation was therefore to proceed, and the international co-prosecutor's introductory submission was transmitted to the co-investigating judges on 7 September 2009.
وطبقا للمادة 7 (4) من الاتفاق بين الأمم المتحدة وحكومة كمبوديا الملكية بشأن المقاضاة بموجب القانون الكمبودي على الجرائم المرتكبة خلال فترة نظام كمبوتشيا الديمقراطية، تعيَّن بالتالي أن تستمر الإجراءات، وأحيلت المذكرة الاستهلالية للمدعي العام الدولي إلى قاضيي التحقيق في 7 أيلول/سبتمبر 2009.

1. By its resolution 57/228 B, of 13 May 2003, the General Assembly approved the draft Agreement between the United Nations and the Royal Government of Cambodia concerning the Prosecution under Cambodian Law of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea and urged the Secretary-General and the Government of Cambodia to take all measures necessary to allow the agreement to enter into force and to implement it fully thereafter.
1 - وافقت الجمعية العامة في قرارها 57/228 باء المؤرخ 13 أيار/مايو 2003 على مشروع الاتفاق بين الأمم المتحدة وحكومة كمبوديا الملكية بشأن المقاضاة بموجب القانون الكمبودي على الجرائم المرتكبة خلال فترة نظام كمبوتشيا الديمقراطية، وحثت الأمين العام وحكومة كمبوديا الملكية على اتخاذ جميع التدابير اللازمة لإتاحة بدء نفاذ الاتفاق وتطبيقه بالكامل بعد بدء نفاذه.

In my interim report of 3 December 2003 (A/58/617), Member States were given an interim account of the state of preparations for the entry into force of the Agreement between the United Nations and the Royal Government of Cambodia concerning the Prosecution under Cambodian Law of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea ( " the Agreement " ).
