According to the Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia, every citizen has the right to work, to a free choice of job, protection at work and financial support in case of unemployment.

181. The former Law on Employment and Insurance in case of unemployment was in force from 23 July 2003 to 22 May 2009 and was based on the principle of equal availability, acting and prohibition of discrimination in employment.

Article 6 of the Law on the Support of the Unemployed stipulates that the State guarantees its citizens, irrespective of their sex: free vocational counselling and information about vacant jobs; free labour exchanges in looking for employment; free vocational training in case of unemployment; a possibility to do public work or the work supported by the Employment Fund in case of unemployment; and, unemployment benefits.
وتنص المادة ٦ من قانون إعانة المتعطلين على أن الدولة تكفل لمواطنيها، بغض النظر عن نوع الجنس، الحصول على ما يلي: مشورة مهنية ومعلومات مجانية عن الوظائف الشاغرة؛ وخدمات مجانية من مكاتب العمل في البحث عن وظيفة؛ تدريب مهني مجاني في حالة البطالة؛ وإمكانية القيام، في حالة البطالة بأعمال عامة أو أعمال يدعمها صندوق العمل؛ واستحقاقات في حالة البطالة.

259. Regarding social insurances and benefits from them, the Constitution of the Republic of Albania guarantees to everybody the right of benefits from social insurances when reaching the retirement age or in cases of disability for work, and it guarantees the benefits in case of unemployment.
259- وفيما يتعلق بالتأمينات الاجتماعية والاستحقاقات الناجمة عنها، يضمن دستور جمهورية ألبانيا لكل شخص الحق في استحقاقات التأمينات الاجتماعية عند بلوغ سن التقاعد أو في حالات الإعاقة أثناء العمل، كما يضمن الاستحقاقات في حالة البطالة.

The Law on Employment and Insurance in case of unemployment (Official Journal of the RS, No. 71/2003) contains provisions on the introduction of the principle of equal access to jobs and equal treatment in the employment procedure.

According to Article 70/E of the Constitution the " Citizens of the Republic of Hungary have the right to social security; they are entitled to the support required to live in the old age, and in the case of sickness, disability, being widowed or orphaned and in the case of unemployment through no fault of their own.

350- ويستند قانون التشغيل والضمان في حالة البطالة() وقانون إعادة التأهيل المهني للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة وتشغيلهم إلى مبدأي عدم التمييز والمساواة بين الجنسين، وقد أدخل القانونان المذكوران أفكاراً جديدة على ميدان التشغيل.

8. The Law on Employment and Insurance in case of unemployment and the Law on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Disabled Persons, which entered into force on 23 May 2009, are based on the principles against discrimination and gender equality.
8- ويستند قانون الاستخدام والتأمين في حالة البطالة() وقانون إعادة التأهيل المهني للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة واستخدامهم()، واللذان دخلا حيز النفاذ في 23 أيار/مايو 2009، إلى مبدأ عدم التمييز ومبدأ المساواة بين الجنسين.

In addition, earlier economic crises had led to the recognition that creating employment, supporting workers through effective income replacement schemes in case of unemployment or underemployment, and improving access to social services are necessary for maintaining or restoring aggregate demand and essential in moving towards a more sustained, sustainable and inclusive path of economic growth.
وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، تمّ الاعتراف، في ضوء الأزمات الاقتصادية السابقة، بأن توليد فرص العمل، ودعم العاملين من خلال وضع خطط فعالة لتأمين دخل بديل في حالة البطالة أو العمالة الناقصة، وتحسين فرص الاستفادة من الخدمات الاجتماعية تُعدّ تدابير ضرورية للحفاظ على مستويات الطلب الإجمالي أو إعادتها إلى سابق عهدها كما أنها تدابير أساسية لسلوك مسار أكثر اطّراداً واستدامة وشمولا باتجاه النمو الاقتصادي.

The right to social security in case of unemployment is guaranteed by the Law no. 76/2002 on the system of unemployment insurance and employment support, which establishes in the article 4 the elimination of all types of discrimination on political, race, nationality, ethnic origin, language, religion, social category, views, sex and age criteria.
والحق في الضمان الاجتماعي في حالة البطالة يضمنه القانون رقم 76/2002 المعني بنظام تأمين البطالة ودعم العمالة. وينص هذا القانون في المادة 4 على القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز القائم على معايير تتعلق بالسياسة أو العنصر أو الجنسية أو الأصل العرقي أو اللغة أو الديانة أو الفئة الاجتماعية أو وجهات النظر أو الجنس أو السن.
