(c) States and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) should promote and facilitate the establishment of regional cooperation networks of central and other competent authorities in regions where no such networks existed;
(ج) ينبغي للدول ومكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة (المكتب) تعزيز وتيسير العمل على إنشاء شبكات تعاون إقليمية بين السلطات المركزية وغيرها من السلطات المختصة في المناطق التي لا تتواجد فيها مثل تلك الشبكات؛

(a) States and UNODC should promote and facilitate the establishment of regional cooperation networks of central and other competent authorities in regions where no such networks existed;
(أ) ينبغي للدول ومكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة تعزيز وتيسير العمل على إنشاء شبكات تعاون إقليمية بين السلطات المركزية وغيرها من السلطات المختصة في المناطق التي لا توجد فيها مثل تلك الشبكات؛

(j) What kind of technical assistance activities are considered effective in strengthening the capacity of central and other competent authorities? What are the needs in terms of staffing, training, equipment, technology and telecommunications facilities?

To that end, he suggested that the Secretariat should convene an expert working group in the coming months to work on the issue and to organize a global-level meeting, before 2010, of central and other competent authorities responsible for international cooperation, for which purpose the speaker offered the support of his Government (Peru).
