With reference to the Committee's recommendations Nos. 32 and 34, it should be noted that the Civil Service Regulations of 2007 provide that the most competent applicants shall be employed on the basis of merit and having regard to the principles of transparency, justice and equality of opportunity, without gender-based discrimination.
