29. At the same occasion, IFAD will also host the exhibition on climate change and indigenous peoples, made available by the secretariat of the Convention of Biological Diversity and transferred to the Fund in cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

Representatives of indigenous peoples' organizations who participated in the two regional workshops on IFAD's Indigenous Peoples' Assistance Facility: supporting self-determined development of indigenous communities in Asia and Latin America discussed climate change and indigenous peoples during focused working groups.
وناقش ممثلو منظمات الشعوب الأصلية الذين شاركوا في حلقتي العمل الإقليميتين المتعلقتين بمرفق مساعدة الشعوب الأصلية التابع للصندوق الدولي للتنمية الزراعية: دعم التنمية التي تحدد مسارها الشعوب الأصلية بنفسها في آسيا وأمريكا اللاتينية، مسألة تغير المناخ والشعوب الأصلية خلال اجتماعات الأفرقة العاملة المتخصصة في مواضيع معينة.

One of the priority research areas for CDI is traditional knowledge, natural resources and the environment; hence it supported in 2008 the study " Climate change and indigenous peoples: documentation and analysis of the problem " , in order to examine the topic on the national and international levels and to document strategies for adaptation and mitigation.

The activities of FAO in relation to the special theme for the seventh session of the Permanent Forum: " Climate change, bio-cultural diversity and livelihoods: the stewardship role of indigenous peoples and new challenges " , are presented in the organization's contribution to an inter-agency paper on climate change and indigenous peoples, to be submitted to the Permanent Forum at its seventh session.
وتُعرض أنشطة منظمة الأغذية والزراعة ذات الصلة بالموضوع الخاص للدورة السابعة للمنتدى الدائم " تغير المناخ والتنوع البيولوجي - الثقافي وسبل العيش: الدور الريادي للشعوب الأصلية والتحديات الجديدة " في مساهمة المنظمة في الورقة المشتركة بين الوكالات بشأن تغير المناخ والشعوب الأصلية المقرر تقديمها إلى الدورة السابعة للمنتدى الدائم " .

Goal 7: Ensure environmental sustainability (targets 1 and 3): (a) In 2005 published a special edition of the Cultural Survival Quarterly entitled Water Rights and Indigenous Peoples; (b) In 2008 published a special edition of the Cultural Survival Quarterly entitled climate change and indigenous peoples which was widely disseminated to the media and to indigenous peoples' organizations worldwide.
